3. No Brainer Cooking

Brigadeiro

Cooking directions: Mix all ingredients in a cooking pot. The important thing here is to ALWAYS stir, you must stir while it cooks. Cook it over medium heat until it starts to boil. As soon as you see it bubbling turn heat to low and continue to stir until you see the dough is no longer sticking to the bottom of the pan. Remove from heat. Spread it over a plate and let it cool off.

4A. Lazy Brigadeiro

BrigadeiroBrigadeiro is very versatile which means you can serve it in many different ways. The lazy Brigadeiro will save you time, as the only thing you need to do is pur it in a mug, top it with some sprinkles and call it a day. We eat it with a spoon. It will look cute as it resembles coffee in a mug, but it actually is a delicious desert!

4B. Fancy Brigadeiro

BrigadeiroTaking the time to make the traditional Brigadeiro ball will certainly earn you some brownie points. They are easy to just pop it in your mouth. To start make sure you spread the sprinkle on a plate. Put some butter on the palms of your hands. Scoop one small spoon full of the Brigadeiro into your buttered hands and roll the Brigadeiros into a ball. Place all the balls into the sprinkle plate. Try not to touch the sprinkles with your buttered hands, or it will stick. Save rolling all the Brigadeiros on the sprinkles to the end after you’ve rolled all the Brigadeiro balls. Repeat it until you’ve rolled all the Brigadeiros. Place them onto your eautiful container.

5. Make it extra Special

You can always wrap the mug. Spruce it up with a bow. Write a nice note and hang it on the handle as a tag. Or just gift it as is.

I can’t think of a better gift for a Brazilian.  It will bring them so many childhood memories, and the fact that you took the time to make it will mean a lot to them. I hope you have fun making, and perhaps you can even make it a little tradition.
